Local Schools

Genesis Community Daycare Centre supports the York Region District & Catholic School Boards with children attending the following schools:

1)  Crosby Heights (Public) - 270 Neal Drive (905-884-5281)

2)  Michael Jean (French Immersion Gr. 1-3) - 320 Shirley Drive (905-770-6507)

3)  Beverly Acres (French Immersion Gr. 4-6) - 283 Neal Drive (905-884-5059)

4)  Our Lady Help of Christians (Catholic) - 275 Redstone (905-884-4023)

Families are required to arrange bussing through the school board.  Genesis does not bus children to and from school however, we do put the children on the bus in the morning hours as well as receive them off of the bus when they arrive to the centre in the afternoon.

If a child does not arrive at the daycare in time to take the bus in the morning, it is the responsibility of the parent to transport them to school.  Also, if a child misses the bus from school in the afternoon, they will be contacted by the school for pick up.  The children are not the responsibility of Genesis until they arrive to the centre from the bus.

We do request however, that if a parent picks up a child from school, a child is absent from school or the child misses the bus in the afternoon, that you contact the centre.  It is the responsibility of the parent to keep the centre informed.
